We seek an experienced Team Lead for our ML Engineering lead who will oversee a highly qualified team of ML engineers. You will focus on building solutions to problems that require the latest techniques and tools in the AI field and look after existing solutions at the carVertical data department. You will steer ML strategy at carVertical, manage the ML team roadmap and be responsible for the efficient delivery of ML-based solutions, which will increase transparency in the used car market.

Your daily focus:

• Lead and mentor a team of ML engineers, providing technical direction and career development.
• Manage the ML team roadmap and ensure efficient delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Oversee and also contribute to the implementation of production-ready ML models and solutions.
• Monitor and improve existing ML systems, including testing and monitoring frameworks.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and make decisions about the team's technical toolset.

Required skills:

• Proven experience in leading teams.
• At least 5 years experience in Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related areas.
• Proficiency in Python programming language.
• Excellent understanding of fundamental machine learning concepts and techniques.
• Experience in deploying models into production on AWS or similar cloud platforms and monitoring and maintaining them in the long term. Preferably on platforms with GPU accelerators.

Optional skills:

• Model development experience in the PyTorch ecosystem.
• Experience with boosted tree model frameworks like XGBoost and LightGBM.
• NLP or Computer Vision experience.
• Experience with AWS cloud platform products (such as ECS, Lambdas).
• Experience with infrastructure as a code (terraform).
• MLops using GitHub Actions, Airflow, AWS-based solutions and MLFlow.

Salary:

From 7000  brutto

We are open to negotiation - the final offer will depend on your competencies.
